ABOUT ABOUT

Ballet 5:8 presents Family Saturdays

Join Ballet 5:8 for a special performance that is perfect for the entire family.

You’re invited to attend a Family Saturday performance this April featuring artists of the Ballet 5:8 Second Company and Trainee Program. This hour-long performance is tons of fun and features a range of dance styles and something for everyone, including choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager. You’ll be encouraged by the hope of the eternal life of a Christian in Winter from The Four Seasons of a Soul and moved to compassion in Strangers and Angels, which juxtaposes the 1917 and 2017 Syrian refugees.

Seating is socially-distanced and utilizes specially-designed seating pods to allow household groups to sit together. Masks are required for all patrons for the duration of the performance.

Tickets are just $20 while space remains! A live stream option is also available. Please see ticket options. The stream will take place on an unlisted Youtube link, which will be emailed to you.

Ballet 5:8 performances are made possible in part by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.

Performance Information
Performances will take place inside Ballet 5:8’s studio 1, transformed into a black box theater. Ticketing is general admission, but guests will be seated in assigned groups according to ticket purchase. If you plan to attend the performance with one or more members of your household and wish to sit together, please purchase your tickets as a group. Guests with individual ticket purchases will be seated individually. Individual and group seating will be socially distant between seats or groups as applicable. All guests will be required to wear a mask throughout the performance.
